In each session, we talk about whatever feels most important for you, exploring your experiences in a supportive and structured way. We move at a pace that feels manageable and useful. When appropriate, we will agree on some tasks to practice in between sessions.

Sessions are usually held weekly at the beginning to build momentum and continuity. In some cases, we may later agree to meet fortnightly depending on your needs and circumstances.Each session lasts 50 minutes. This is the standard length for individual psychotherapy sessions.

You do not need to have everything prepared or clearly organised. We can begin with whatever feels most comfortable, and I will help guide the conversation.

You will not be forced to share anything before you feel ready, but over time you may be gently encouraged to explore difficult experiences, as this often supports understanding and healing. We will always do this at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

Strong emotions can arise in therapy, and that is okay. We will slow down, focus on helping you feel grounded, and make sure you leave the session feeling supported.

Sometimes we may agree on small exercises or reflections between sessions, but these are always discussed together and tailored to what feels realistic for you. Any tasks are adapted to fit your circumstances, preferences and needs.

Yes, you are free to stop therapy whenever you choose. If possible, some notice is helpful so we can bring the work to a safe and thoughtful close.

Rather than telling you what to do, I aim to help you understand your situation and consider options that feel right for you. When helpful, I may offer guidance or suggestions, but decisions always remain yours.

Yes, I offer therapy online, and it can be just as effective as in-person work, including for CBT and EMDR. Many people find it convenient, accessible and easier to fit around daily life.

Yes, everything discussed in therapy is confidential. The only exceptions are rare situations where there is a serious risk of harm, which would be explained to you.

Payment is made by bank transfer prior to each session. Further details are provided when sessions are arranged.
